Data manipulation

Estimated reading: 2 minutes

General case

The data in the analytical views can be manipulated using the following items:

  • Segment selection
  • Date selector
  • Secondary dimensions

These items have an impact on the number of data displayed. They can also be used to adjust the time variable with the aim of improving the display’s readability, whether a chart or a table.

Comparing values for one dimension over several periods

When comparing values over several periods, the values of the selected dimension are displayed over “period 1”. Note that the comparison over “period 2” might not return data for the same values as period 1, since they are different for “period 2”.

Special cases: selection of several segments

If several segments are selected, the statistics table will display the top 100 data, all segments included. However, the display can be modified by one of the following charts: vertical bar chart, horizontal bar chart and tree map.

If one of the charts is selected, the displayed data will represent the top 10 for the first segment.

Is the data comparison compatible between all segments?

With some charts, the comparison might not display any data.

The other segments might be temporarily deselected, in which case the active selection will be kept in the required segment.
