Segments

Estimated reading: 2 minutes

Segments are a subset of data.

Segments are organized into the following three categories: Catalog(s), EasyLink and TraceParts Publishing Network. Each category provides a list of segments.

By default, the “All segments” segment is selected. It contains the data from all the segments.

The segments displayed are defined according to the contract(s) associated with the user’s account.

A segment corresponds to a selected item, irrespective of whether it is a catalog, EasyLink site or TraceParts Publishing Network. The only exception is the “All segments” segment.

The search field can be used to find a segment more quickly by entering its name.

By default, segments are arranged in alphabetical order.

Each segment can only be selected once independently.

No more than five segments can be selected at the same time.

When applying 5 segments, the segments in position 4 and 5 will only be displayed in the line/bar graph.

Segment color assignment :

A color is assigned to each segment displayed. Colors are assigned according to how the segments are ranked. For example, the first selected segment will be green, the second will be pink and the third will be yellow. In case of a change in the ranking, the color will also change.

Selection of 5 segments

For example: in case of three active segments, if one of the first two segments is deselected, it will temporarily lose its place in the ranking, because the segments are reorganized (the selected segments are ranked first), and the color will consequently change.
