Permissions by roles

Estimated reading: 2 minutes

Special cases: "Account Administrator" role

The “Account Administrator” role is assigned to the person who is responsible for accesses to TraceParts Analytics for a given contract. This person will be the first to sign into the TraceParts Analytics application.

Just like an “administrator”, the “account administrator” is granted all rights. An account administrator can send invitations to the first users belonging to the contract(s) for which he/she has access.

To send an invitation to a user, that user must satisfy the following prerequisite: be registered on www.traceparts.com.

"Administrator" role

For users to become an “administrator”, they must have received an invitation from the account administrator or another user with “administrator” rights.

Administrators have all possible permissions for the contract(s) for which they have access. In particular, they can use the dedicated user management interfaces.

"Manager" role

The “manager” role provides access to all the application’s features, although there are a few restrictions when it comes to editing items that have been created by administrators.

This role is NOT authorized to access the “User Management” and “User activity” interfaces.

Users with “manager” rights can perform the following actions:

  • Create and edit schedules for sending the reports that they have created, whether synthesis or leads reports. They also have read access to the reports that have been scheduled by other users.
  • Download the data from the synthesis and/or leads report on the fly.
  • Manage recipient lists. They are authorized to create lists and update their own lists only. They also have read access to the lists created by other users.
  • Access all the analytical views (just like all other users).

"User" role

Users with “user” rights are permitted to perform the following actions:

  • Download the data from the synthesis and/or leads report on the fly.
  • Access the analytical views.

At the present time, there is no difference between the permissions for “marketing” and “sales” roles.

The "Viewer" role

Users with a “Viewer” (read-only) role are authorised to view data without any of the lead details.
Access is limited to the following interfaces:
• Dashboard
• The Catalogs menu and sub-menus
• The Audience menu and sub-menus with the exception of the “Active Users” interface
