Invite a user

To invite a user to the TraceParts Analytics application, you must have administrator rights.

To access the invitation interface:

  1. Click on the nut icon (A) in the administration menu
  2. Click on the User Management menu (B)
  3. Once the User Management interface is displayed, click on the “Invite a user” button (C)

 

Sending an invitation to a user

Viewer role read-only permission

In the invitation interface, follow the steps below to send an invitation to a user:

  1. Enter the user's email address. (D)
  2. Assign a "Contract". This option may already be predefined if your access relates to a single contract. (E)
  3. In the drop-down list, select the role that will be assigned to the user. The list of permissions on the right is automatically updated according to the chosen role. (F)
  4. Click on the "Invite a user" button to send the invitation by email. (G)
  5. Check that the "Pending Invitation" list contains the invitation that you have just created.
Invite a user form

The user will receive an email containing a validation link for accessing the TraceParts Analytics application according to the role that you have assigned. If necessary, you can resend a validation link by email or delete the invitation.

Conditions for access

Registering on www.traceparts.com is a prerequisite for users to receive an invitation to access the TraceParts Analytics application.

Granting access to a user for several contracts

To provide access to a user for several contracts, you must send an invitation for each contract. As such, a different role can be assigned to the same user for each contract.

For example: as an administrator, you want to invite a user and grant access to two contracts. To do so, you must send two different invitations while defining the user’s role in each invitation. Users can obviously have the same role for both contracts.

User rights management

Irrespective of their role, if users have access to several contracts, they can see all the data for all the contracts for which they have access rights. Depending on the roles, restrictions are applied to managing reports and/or accessing the administration interfaces.
